Overview
Every cannabis retail store must have a licensed retail manager. Retail managers hire and supervise employees, buy cannabis and manage sales, deal with compliance issues, and handle contracts. A licensed retail operator can also be the manager but will in some cases still need a retail manager licence.
Generally, you must wait two years to apply again for a cannabis Retail Manager Licence if you’ve:
- applied in the past and were refused
- had your Retail Manager Licence taken away from you
Note: you can’t transfer your licence to anyone else.
