Apply for registration

To apply for a gaming registration through the iAGCO portal, it's easy to get started. You’ll need to apply if you:

  • are applying for gaming assistant registration for the first time
  • had a gaming assistant registration but it’s expired
  • are reapplying for registration as a gaming assistant because your last application was refused by the AGCO or you withdrew it (or your employer withdrew your offer of employment)Β

Step 1: Prepare your application

As part of your application, you’ll need to submit these things:

  • offer or a conditional offer of employment from the casino operator, charitable gaming site or retail location
    • For further information, please contact the human resources office of your future employer.
    • For applicants in the commercial sector only, the employer must identify the job functions to be performed by the applicant using the definitions found in the chart below. If any of these job functions change during the course of the applicant’s employment, the registrant must submit a Change application immediately.
  • personal disclosure (available during the application process)
  • registration fee (for commercial and charitable sectors only)
  • supporting documents (if that applies)

You must also indicate the category and sector in which you are or are planning to work:

  • Commercial Sector – e.g. casino, slot machine facility
  • Charitable Sector – e.g. bingo hall, fair and exhibition (e.g. CNE)
  • Lottery Sector – e.g. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation lotteries

We need this information as part of our risk assessment and to charge the right registration fee.

Important notes

  • If you’re renewing or making changes to a registration you already have, don’t fill out a new application. Learn how to renew or update your information in the next section. Β
  • Your offer of employment should say whether you are Category 1 or Category 2. Confirm with your employer which type of gaming assistant you are and how long you want your registration to last (one year or two years). Β
  • If you are registered as a gaming assistant and get another job within 30 days of finishing your last job, call AGCO customer service. Β
